CASTELLO DI MACHIAVELLI

The Castle of Machiavelli was founded in the year 1000 and was once residence of the family Buondelmonti; in the year 1511 was bought by Niccolò Machiavelli and he used it as his personal hunting house.
From 1727 the family Rangoni Machiavelli are the actual owners and they have started in 1985 a total and perfect restoration of this beautiful residence.
In the dependence houses of the castle they have restored 11 apartments, which are now at disposal of the guests. All houses have a splendid view over the hills and the surrounding vineyards .
Pool in the garden ( 18 x 7 m) open from May until September. The small village of Bargino is in 2 km distance, San Casciano with Supermarket and banks is at 4 Km, Tavarnelle at 8 km, Florence is in 25 Km, Siena in 40 Km.

Quercia - ca. 45 sqm for 2+1 pers.
2. Fl.: living-room with kitchen corner and single divan bed, bath with shower , double bedroom.

Frullacchia - ca. 40 sqm for 2 pers.
Gr. Fl.: kitchen with old bread-oven, bath with shower , double bedroom.

Torretta - ca. 70 sqm for 2+2 pers.
Gr. Fl.: living-room with fireplace and double divan bed, kitchen, WC; 1. Fl.: bath with tub , double bedroom.

Ginestre - ca. 120 sqm for 4+3 pers.
Gr. Fl.: living-room with double divan bed, dining-room, kitchen, bath with shower; 1. Fl.: living-room with fireplace and single divan-bed, bath with shower, double bedroom and twin bedded room.

Giotto - ca. 90 sqm for 2+2 pers.
1. Fl.: big living-room with fireplace and 2 single divan beds and kitchen-corner, bath with tub , double bedroom.

Castello - ca. 70 sqm for 2+2 pers.
1. Fl.: living-room with fireplace and double divan bed and kitchen-corner, 2. Fl.: bath with tub , double bedroom. This apartment is situated in the Castle itself with a big window in the living-room with a nice view in the inner court-yard of the castle.
