Going out of the village of Mercatale, through a small road very typical of this area, in less than one Kilometre is situated the Villa Marcellina, historical Villa of 1540, that was built around a tower of the middle ages, partially to be recognised in teh central part of the building.

The village of Mercatale is at about 1km distance, and here are many kind of shops ( bakery, grocery stores, butcher, etc..) banks and the pharmacy. A bigger village, San Casciano Val di Pesa, where is the Supermarket, is at 4Km. In the area there several good restaurants; Greve is at 12Km, Florence is at only 15Km, Siena is at 50Km.

The garden of the Villa is in typical Italian style, with little edges surrounding flower-beds. The wide swimming pool ( 14X7) has an incredible panorama: gentle hills following one another, striped with vineyards and dotted with olive trees and cypress. A gazebo in the garden, furnished with a fridge and a barbecue, is at disposal of the guests to organise outdoor snacks. The swimming pool is open from May 1st until October 15th.

On the first floor of the Villa live the owner of the house. On the second floor there are two apartments at disposal of the guests, furnished in perfect antique style, equipped with all modern comforts. An elevator is at disposal to reach the floor.
