LA CAPPELLA

Surrounded by a park of 7000 m2 with secular trees, “La Cappella” is situated along the panoramic road that connects Montespertoli to the medieval cities of Certaldo and San Gimignano.

The property has a long history. From the 12th century on, the owners used the little chapel that was situated within the park of a historical and fortified villa for burials. Over the years, a master rural house was constructed on the place of the chapel, and in 1821 the property reached its current dimensions. During most of the 20th century, the rural house hosted three families. In the building close to the villa, there was a school until the 1970s.

From 1988 on, the Tinalli family, which had bought the property, renovated the buildings and transformed them into a comfortable hotel and rural residence. The attention towards the guests, the elegant furniture, and the sobriety of the colours make the hotel an incomparable place to spend an unforgettable holiday.

From March to September, the external swimming pool (15 x 7.5 m) is at the disposal of the guests. The pool has an area with shallow water for children (60 cm depth).

THE VILLA
At the ground floor of the main building, there is the reception, a spacious lounge with large fire place out of stone, the reading room, the bar and a little wine bar (“enoteca”).
From the lounge, one reaches the restaurant, which is situated on the external veranda with panoramic view over the park, the swimming pool, and the surrounding hills.
At the first and second floor, there are 5 double bedrooms. Each room is equipped with heating, telephone, satellite TV, and safe.

“FIENILE”
The building which used to be the barn (“fienile”) is situated next to the villa. It has a very original architectural structure, and it was designed with good taste. In the central area of the building, there is a large apartment in which the owners are living.
In the lower floor, there are three double rooms with bathtub and shower, 2 of which with double bed and 1 with two single beds. The three rooms are equipped with TV, mini-bar, telephone, and safe.

- Dinner (at a cost of approximately € 25.00 per person, 50% discount for children under 11 years - daily reservations are required). From the beginning of May until mid-September, dinner is served in our panoramic terrace with candle light.
- Guided bicycle tours in particularly beautiful areas, accessible to everybody. Prior booking of the tours (for a minimum of 5 persons) is required
